Details about letter submissions:

June 2 and June 3, The Woods Hole Theater Company is producing  “The Letter I Never Sent” at the Gallery on Main in Falmouth with live music by Steve Gregory!

We’re asking you, Cape Codders,  to write a  letter, the one you wish you had sent but never did. If your letter is chosen, a theater director helps you gain confidence in reading your letter in a rehearsal.  Then the show. Audiences get to share in your experiences, joys, sadness. Whatever you share will be treasured by all of us.

Stop wishing you had said something…get on stage and….. say it!

Is there something you wish you had said to a parent, an ex, a boss, a friend, a landlord, an in-law, a teacher, a bully, a grandparent, a pet, a celebrity, etc.?

You are not alone.  We all have words we can't or couldn’t say. Maybe because the person has passed away, or has moved. Or perhaps the cost was too high. Or perhaps you haven’t tried to find the words yet.  We want to give participants a moment to let it out and to let it go. And  to share their story with an audience. Let’s stop the silence. Let’s start talking and listening.  Interested?

  1. Write your letter.

  2. Submit your letter to woodsholetheaterboxoffice@gmail.com

Our letter panel will meet together to read the letters. They will select letters that will give the audience a variety of reactions:  laughter or tears or surprise or reflection, or another perspective, etc. If your letter is chosen, you will be notified 2 weeks before the event. You will be coached and supported in reading your letter effectively by a director before your debut.

Covid Safety Plan

Until Further Notice: Policy for Indoor Programming - Requirement of proof of Covid vaccination.  Masks covering the mouth and nose must be worn at all times inside our performance venues.

Our objective is to ensure the safety of our audience, volunteer staff, and volunteer performers. To achieve this goal, The Woods Hole Theater Company will now require that everyone attending our indoor performances must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose.

Upon arrival, guests will be asked to present proof of vaccination.  A copy or photo on your phone of the physical card is acceptable.  Please note that our staff and performers will be wearing masks during indoor performances except when they are on stage performing.  Audience seating will be placed away from the stage.  We will keep guests together (for example, those living in the same household) and separate from each other as much as possible. We will do our best to maximize ventilation using the large windows in the hall (we suggest that you bring a sweater or jacket).

Total attendance is limited to 80 masked guests in accordance with the Woods Hole Community Association policy.

Please be advised that these requirements may be modified if there are changes in guidance on the local, state, or federal level.

We thank you for your patience and working with us to protect our mighty little theater community!
