Seeking actors of any gender, 8 to adult, for a wild adaptation of the Newbury-Award winning novel, My Father’s Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett
 

Monday, June 3

     Ages 8 to 12: 5 - 6 P

     Ages 13 to adult: 6 - 7 P

Saturday, June 15

Ages 8 to 12: 11 - 12 P

Ages 13 to adult: 12:00 - 1 P

Hermann Room at The Falmouth Public Library 300 Main St. Falmouth, MA.

Please arrive promptly to fill our audition sheets and sign in. Please expect to learn some choreography, do some ensemble work and to read from the script.

The story: Esmeralda and Dog rescue the baby dragons from a no-good mean bunch of animals. They outwit ferocious tigers, weeping elephants, angry lions, blind mice, mean gorillas, boorish boars and sharp-toothed crocidiles. Once freed, the baby dragons fly home to Woods Hole, safe and sound. An original score composed and played live by Tyler Harmon adds to the drama and fun. Director: Jane Hattemer-Stringer; Musical director: Tyler Harmon

 

Roles available: Tigers, Lions, Elephants, Monkees, Crocidiles, Mr. Dragon, Mrs. Dragon, Dragona, Dragina, Boars: Boar-You and Boar-Me, Blind Mice:Cheesy and Meesey, Gorillas: Grolla and Grilla, Admiral Stanley, Reporters, Sailors Note: the role of Esmeralda will be played by Elizabeth Koglin, that of Dog by Susan Cushing .

 

Some actors will play multiple roles
 

Rehearsals are held every Tues and Thurs 6 pm- 8 pm starting Sept.2.  There will be 2 weekend afternoon rehearsals in October.

All rehearsals held at The Woods Hole Community Hall.
